Mostre itineranti, i lavori di sei architetti coreani a Palazzo D’Amico 10 Novembre 2017 Cultura e societa' La mostra itinerante di sei architetti coreani a Palazzo D’Amico. L’allestimento “Sections of Autonomy. Six Korean Architects” verrà inaugurato, alle 18, alla presenza del sindaco di Milazzo Giovanni Formica, con la lecture di Choi Won-joon. Dopo i saluti di Pino Falzea, presidente dell’ordine degli architetti di Messina e Anna Carulli, ordine degli Architetti, e Umberto Giorgio, per la Fondazione, introdurrà i lavori l’architetto Claudio Lucchesi. Interverranno gli architetti Andrew Yau (Hong Kong), Jonas Lundberg (Svezia) e Luca Galofaro. La mostra sarà visitabile per tre settimane. Si tratta di un’esposizione che racconta attraverso disegni, fotografie e modelli, il lavoro di sei progettisti tra i più rilevanti del panorama nazionale: Choi Moon-gyu (Ga.A Architects), Jang Yoon-gyoo (Unsangdong Architects Cooperation), Kim Jong-kyu (M.A.R.U.), Kim Jun-sung (Architecture Studio hANd), Kim Seung-hoy (KYWC Architects), Kim Young-joon (YO2 Architects).Questi sei architetti hanno esordito professionalmente tra la fine degli anni novanta e i primi del 2000, un periodo particolarmente significativo per la Corea perché caratterizzato da una crescente libertà politica e culturale. «Rappresentano – dice il presidente dell’Ordine degli architetti Pino Falzea – la prima generazione di architetti coreani non condizionati da pressioni ideologiche, e dunque liberi e capaci di esprimere completamente la propria autonomia, la propria individualità, la quale è radicata nella cultura locale, ma consapevole della ricerca architettonica internazionale. Come progettisti hanno saputo allontanarsi da un sistema di riferimenti e di valori prefissati, per elaborare i temi del presente attraverso le modalità, diversificate ed amplificate, del linguaggio architettonico» Le architetture scelte ed esposte in mostra appaiono come frammenti della struttura urbana, capaci di riprodurre la complessità dello spazio pubblico circostante e di metabolizzare al loro interno l’estrema vivacità delle metropoli coreane.
